A typical day at Galvin Green is actually pretty calm and not so strict. I think that everyday at Galvin Green for me will be a lot of making calls to representatives of other companies that are buying our product. Doing that I will be asking if they are having any problems with our websites and answering questions about our product and our company. Maybe even doing work with our inventory, meaning marking how much we have of what and things like that. With Galvin Green the policy of the time I am supposed to be there by is 9 am. For tardiness and absences I think I am supposed to just call in and give them my explanation of why those things happened. Also I would have to make up my hours that I missed. The dress code at Galvin Green is something I actually am very familiar with. It is very similar to our school dress code. The dress code is a collared shirt of some sort and jeans or slacks with closed toed shoes. This dress code actually means a lot to me, it is something I know and something I have been doing for a lot of time in my life. Overall I loved my career day experience at Galvin Green and I am excited to continue working there for the next month. We talked about what I will be doing in that month and what events will be taking place that I will be apart of. I roamed around the website so I can get familiar with it and know how to work it. I also did inventory, I marked what we have out of what we are supposed to have in our inventory. Throughout all of that I asked plenty of questions, that my mentor was happily willing to answer and also help me. From my high school classes and skills I have learned I feel like the technology aspect will help me the most because most of my internship will be on the phone and on the computer. Also communicating, I will have to communicate to other businesses about our product and communicate with my fellow employees to better the company.
